Former President Jerry John Rawlings was laid to his final rest at the Military cemetery at the Burma Camp in Accra today but that was after his state funeral at the Black Star square.

Dignitaries from several African countries, diplomats, political leaders, Security personnel and Ghanaians all gathered to pay their last respect to the man who has shaped and influenced the democracy of this land.

Rawlings’ funeral was made colourful and eyecatching with several displays from traditional persons dressed in rich kente, drumming, dancing and the exhibition of diverse Ghanaian culture and heritage.
